ABOUT FRIENDS OF ADAMH

The Friends of ADAMH is a 501(c)(4) political action committee formed for ballot initiatives to support the Fairfield County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMH) Board.  The organization was established in 2015 with the sole purpose of supporting the ADAMH Board through donations and fundraising activities.

The Fairfield County ADAMH Board plans, funds, evaluates, and manages the mental health and substance use programs in Fairfield County.  It is statutorily mandated through the Ohio revised code and approximately 2/3 of its funding is supported through a county levy.  In addition to levy funding, the Fairfield County ADAMH Board requests funding through state and federal grants.

There are around 50 ADAMH Boards in the State of Ohio with some counties joining together to form a board.
